Monsoon and Beyond is retailing through its web shop as well as high-end stores in Austria, Germany, Italy, UK, Australia, Hong Kong and the USA. All products are handcrafted and ethically produced in India.  With each of her collections, Vera takes you on an enchanting journey through India.

The label will officially launch its first ever Resort Wear Collection at the CAPSULE show in New York (15. – 17. September 2018). The collection of flowy silk and soft Swiss cotton garments is inspired by the historic city of Jodhpur in Rajasthan known as the “Blue City” of India. The name derives from the mesmerizing shades of blue of the Brahmin houses in the old part of the desert town.

Every garment is meticulously made by hand. Vera’s creations are hand-printed according to the ancient Indian craft of “Block Printing” which dates back to the 12th century. “Block Printing” is a labour intensive craft as intricate patterns are carved by hand into teak wood. It takes five carvers up to seven days to create her designs in wooden block. Each of the garments features delicate silk trims, hand-embroideries or bead embellishments which are hand-crafted by artisans from Rajasthan.

The label believes in craftsmanship and sustainability. “I believe that design and sustainability go hand in hand. My designs celebrate traditional Indian handicraft and we aim to preserve ancient forms of Indian craft techniques that are slowly disappearing”, says Vera.
