An incredibly soft, hand-quilted pillow featuring various hand-block-printed artworks interpreting Mughal pomegranate themes.The pillow design was inspired by the epic love story between Mughal emperor Akbar and the beautiful Anarkali.
100% finest cotton muslin fabric. Filled with cotton and held in place with hand-sewn, running stitch. Printed on back & front. Flab: hand-dyed cotton muslin.
Craft: Hand-Block-Printing
The art of block printing dates back to the 12th century. It is a labor intensive craft as intricate patterns are carved by hand into teak wood. It can take five carvers up to seven days to create a design in wooden block.
